PRR 4246, EP-22, 1967         
DMP-2. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Keating, Pennsylvania, on 26 March 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4246 and #4283. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #4246 was constructed as number "5836" in February of 1951, and renumbered "4246" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. #4283 was built as number "5803" in July of 1952 and renumbered "4282" in preparation for the merger.
