Another New York & Long Branch commuter train leaves the station at South Amboy, N.J., after making an engine change from GG-1 electric power. The K-4's, No. 5412 here, February 1954, were last used on this commuter run. Photo by David C. Bartlett." Shown here is PRR engine #5412, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in March of 1956 after 29 years of service. |
