BO 2-10-2 #6024 - Baltimore & Ohio         
This massive and powerful 2-10-2 locomotive was a solid performer on the Baltimore & Ohio roster for nearly 37 years. Built by Baldwin in October of 1914 as B&O #6024, it was eventually retired and scrapped in June of 1952. Specs - Class S, 58" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine weight of 410,200 lb, impressive tractive effort of 84,400 lb. The photo is from the Howard W. Ameling collection.
