Georgia RR 1020
Interesting line-up of power at the Georgia RR yard in Atlanta. GA 1020 was ex-A&WP 572. A&WP 6007 survives as CSXT 2658.

David Stewart General Nice pictures! I grew up with this stuff in Union City Ga. and the shot of GARR GP7 in Family Lines paint is a rare shot indeed. It's nice to the yhat you have this stuff in your collection. I was not udt a little bitty thing and did not hahe any idea what I was looking at until it was all gone. I did get to shoot the era of baby boats, GP16 and a singal train with six differant paint scheams from the previous owners such as CRR, SCL0 L&N, ect. 5/29/2007 12:47:44 PM
Ron Moraca General Great view of what is, I think, GARR's Tilford Yard in Atlanta GA, Brian! There was an awesome mixture of old power there then, too. 1/17/2009 3:19:42 PM
J Thompson General I could be wrong, but I think the L&N owned Tilford yard. GARR's yard was where Hulsey is now, which is an intermodal ramp. Great shot. 6/12/2009 11:02:47 PM
Mike Woodruff General The slide mount says "GA RR yard" which is how I captioned it. 6/12/2009 11:10:01 PM
Jim Bruce General Nice!!!!! I wish I was born 20 years earlier!! 10/27/2009 3:14:37 PM
Ben Scanlon General unusual. at least to me. looks like family lines didn't mind the GA retaining abit of its own identity, as the 'Georgia' on the cab is in the railroad's script, the full name rather tha˜ an abbreviation is used and the railroad's herald makes it onto the short hood. a nice touch. 11/16/2010 1:44:30 PM
