Spring Hill Toiwer - Wabash Valley RR Musem
Besides saving the former C&EI Haley Tower, the Wabash Valley RR Museum also saved the original 1912 Chicago, Terre Haute & Southeastern Spring Hill tower. It was built after the first tower built by predecessor Southern Indiana Rwy in 1899 burned. The tower passed through several hands - Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, Canadian Pacific) before being saved after it closed in 1999. The museum paid a "princely" sum of $10 for the tower which it moved 9.5 miles to their property at a cost of approximately $40,000..
