| The CP-KCS merger was complete in April 2023. Some changes were made fairly quickly: trains were resymbolled, and the detector north of town now announces "CPKC detector, milepost 226.5..." But so far, there has been no outward change to rolling stock or other equipment. Ironically, the first example of the new herald would not be on a train, but on a panel truck. I pulled up behind this truck on US 412 in Siloam Springs one afternoon, to note the new herald on the back. Note also, the "Join our team" sign, also lettered CPKC. |
