Steamed up and ready for its next assignment is Baltimore & Ohio 2-6-6-2 Mogul Mallet #7518. Built by Alco-Brooks in January of 1918 as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh #718, it was officially added to the B&O roster as #7518 in 1932. In 1949, the loco was rebuilt into a simple class KK-5 unit. It served until being scrapped in March of 1953. Original specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x37" high pressure cylinders, 37x32" low pressure cylinders, engine wt of 432,000 lb, impressive tractive effort of 80,000 lb.
