| It appears this Central RR of New Jersey 4-6-0 camelback #165 was sitting in a stroage/scrap line at an unidentified yard when the photo was taken by an unknown photographer. This was about 1 month before being sold for scrap so this probably was the last photo taken of the loco. Built by Brooks Locomotive Company in August of 1901 (before ALCo merger), the loco served for nearly 51 years with rebuilds and reclassifications in 1919, 1920, 1927 and 1945. The loco was finally sold for scrap in October of 1952. |
