| GECX (former BNSF) C44-9W 4574 showed shown up at Wabtec’s Fort Worth plant in early February 2023. The locomotive did not display any obvious reporting mark, but notice how neatly the BNSF lettering had been covered up :) This is one of 60 ex-BNSF C44-9W units purchased last year for rebuilding into AC44C6M’s and is the first of these to arrive at Fort Worth. The loco was assigned CN 1893 as a temporary number, but that did not happen before the unit was shipped here from Relco at Albia, Iowa as GECX 4574. |
