This is a Baldwin builder's photo taken in March of 1924 of the International & Great Northern Rwy, eventually one of the Missouri Pacific subsidiaries. . Specs - class M25, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x30" cylinders, engine wt of 274,900 lb, tracitve effort of 51,411 lb. The loco lasted for nearly 29 years before being scrapped in April of 1953 at Palestine. This photo and the other one in this album of IGN 4-6-0 #240 are the frist International & Great Northern listings ever added to the RRPA database. These are extremely rare photos. |
