TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Rockville Bridge near Marysville, Pennsylvania, c. 1955. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6822, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in February of 1956 after 30 years of service. In this context, it's just crossed the Bridge over the Susquehanna River with a mixed-cargo freight train and is heading toward the Enola Yards. |
