Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the locomotive ready tracks in Enola, Pennsylvania, in May of 1960. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6, an FF-2 (1-C-C-1) electric built by the American Locomotive Company for the Great Northern Railroad as number "5016" in March of 1930, rated at 3,300 horsepower, sold to the PRR and renumbered "6" in August of 1956, and retired in April of 1965 after 35 years' service. |
