This good looking 2-8-2 Mikado was built by Baldwin in July of 1922 as MILW #8305 but later renumbered in June of 1938 as MILW 405. Unfortunately, it has less than a year to serve before it's retirement. The loco was scrapped in January of 1953 after 31 years of service. Specs - L2b class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
