| Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 Mikado #423 waits patiently in the scrap line at the St Paul yard having been retired a month earlier. Built by Baldwin in September of 1922 as MILW 8323, it was later renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 423. The loco served for nearly 32 years before being retired and scrapped in July of 1954 Specs - class L-2b, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb.
