Looks like an old KCS GP40. And actually I think UTAH just painted right over the old KCS logo. The nose stripes, handrail paint, and falt spot on the nose for a Mars light are all indications of this unit's KCS heritage.

According to Don Strack's web site, this was orignally a Western Pacific loco number 3525, and ended up on the KCS, Utah Railway painted it to 3002 from KCS 2700...
