Awesome photo. FYI, location is not St. Paul but NP's Northtown Yard in Minneapolis. Photo looks south from the St. Anthony Parkway bridge which is where NP's "A" and "B" lines converged. Note "Shoreham" elevator in distance is next to SOO's Shoreham Yard. Switch engine in foreground is on the NP "A" Line through downtown Minneapolis which was the NP's passenger main.
