I live in Niles, MI. We have a historic depot here, that was built for the Chicago Exposition travelers. The bench in this picture is like the ones in our depot, which is now an Amtrak Depot. I belong to a garden club that plants and cares for the gardens. We also have a big celebration every year after Thanksgiving, called Hometown Christmas. We love the old benches at the depot and are so lucky to have our depot still open. That is because of our location, between Chicago and Detroit, in the SW corner of MI, just north of South Bend, Indiana. We love the trains here as Niles was a big railroad town in it's time. I am from Tama. One of my classmates was an engineer for CNW. Tom Hanus. Thanks for "listening". Gail Borland
