| An SD40-2 leads two U25Bs on an unidentified eastbound. Most trains chattered on the scanner through here and you knew exactly who they were. This one just silently appeared. The platform that is disappearing under the foliage to the right had been the outbound egress point for New York Central commuter trains, but hadn't seen passenger service in 22 years. CR 6480 was part of their third order for SD40-2s and arrived 11/78. Both U25Bs are ex New York Central, dating from 9/65 and 3/64. |
