This unit is a G.E. 65 Ton. G.E. 44 Ton locomotives did not have end walkways. It is Nee-PGE #551 but the paint scheme on the locomotive was from when it was owned by MacMillan Bloedel. I have a photograph of it taken by James C. Herold on 21 Jult 1985 as M.B. with no number. Some sources list its number as 1612 that may have only been for inventory purposes and was probably not applied to the locomotive.
