Sam Davey	General	maybe im understanding this wrong. but 16 axels online would only be like 2 dash nines and a geep. you see more power than that online in almost every train you see. i know that most of these are DIT but if you went by that 16 axel rule only 2 engines would be online to pull 10 dead loci's and a train. like i said maybe im understanding this wrong.	4/21/2008 9:02:44 PM

Al Snyder	General	In response to the comment about FRA and 16 axles: I'm an engineer for CSX, and we're allowed 24 powered axles on the head of a train, but I don't think this rule has anything to do with FRA. Any other units in a consist must be either shut down, or 'isolated' so they are not producing tractive effort.	7/28/2008 4:28:40 PM
