Here is the front side of a postal card that was published by Parlor Car Enterprises. Photo Credit: Aron Blum. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4874 and #4867. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics built in Juniata and rated at 4,620 horsepower. #4874 was constructed during January of 1939, while #4867 was built in January of 1938. In this context, they're powering a mixed-cargo freight train near Elizabeth, New Jersey, in September of 1967. |
