Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-2 Class S-3 2969 at Cameron Junction, Missouri on October 19, 1950, photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. This appears to be a mixed train aand my guess is that 2969 was sent to rescue the train after road failure of the locomotive pictured behind the first two box cars. Pacific type 2969 was built by Baldwin in 1918 (c/n 48674) and was sold for scrap in July 1958. |
