Description:  Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 11 April 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #7104 and #7111. Both are EFS-17M's built by EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each; #7104 was built in 1956, but #7111 was built in 1957. They are pulling a 135-car eastbound coal train along with caboose #477866.

Description:  Altoona Action. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Erecting & Machine Shop storage yard in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in June of 1966. Among the numerous locomotives depicted here is PRR engine #8968, a BS-16M road switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951 and retired in July of 1966. Beyond it is PRR engine #7104, an EFS-17M built by GM-EMD in November of 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower.
