Description: |
PGH-ALT-63. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Pittsburgh to Altoona on 08 September 1963. Shown here is PRR engine #5991, an ES-6 built by EMD in 1948 and rated at 600 horsepower. It is shifting two "Railway Express" cabooses (viz., #5001 and #5024), just East of the PRR's Pittsburgh Passenger Station. (My train is heading from left to right.) |
