Description:  Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, in August of 1962. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (F to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7044 and several more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7044 was constructed in November of 1955. They're pulling a westbound freight through the Station on a wet and foggy morning. Description:  17th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 25 April 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2230, #7044, #2208, and #2219. All were built by EMD. #2230, #2208, and #2219 are EF-22's built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #7044 is an EFS-17M built in 1955 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are passing under the 17th Street Bridge with a 48-car merchandise freight on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. The caboose is number #477714.
