Second Photo Down: Shown here is PRR engine #8813, an FS-16M built by Fairbanks-Morse in April of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in December of 1967. Third Photo Down: Shown here is PRR engine #9451, an FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse in September of 1950, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in April of 1964. Fourth Photo Down: Shown here is PRR engine #9642, an EF-15A built by EMD in March of 1950, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in August of 1966. |

17th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #9642 and two other units whose numbers are not legible. All were built by EMD. #9642 is an EF-15A built in 1950 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound coal train past ALTO Tower into the Altoona Yards. |
