Description:  Date: June 2007. Southbound CSX detour train X543 waits in a siding at the south end of the CSX Dudley DTC Block with a CSX crew preparing to move it into the CSX Brookwood yard limits. This train is heading to the Alabama Southern Railroad in Tuscaloosa, then the KCS in Artesia Miss., and finally the KCS in Meridian Miss.

Description:  14 units that had been in storage were shoved over here by the roundhouse after 10 months of storage. The conductor on the job can be seen tying a handbrake on the 658. He told me KCS might be planning on scrapping and parting these out, or reselling some. Included in the line of engines is KCS 3240, a white ghost SD40-2, and KCS 3200, ex-KCS 637, which was the 1st SD40-2 ever built.
