Cargill Baldwins |
Description: |
These Baldwin S12's were at Cargill's Terre Haute elevator, along the Mississippi River at Reserve, Louisiana. The locomotives were originally New Orleans Public Belt 61 and 62, although the black unit wears the number of its previous owner, Avondale Shipyard. Constructed in December 1955, these were some of the very last locomotives built by Baldwin. The elevator was served by the Illinois Central Gulf, and now the Canadian National. |
