New paint for an old classic |
Description: |
One of Southern's hi hood GP 30s is in the yard at Manassas, part of the consist for the Strasburg Turn. NS did not repaint a lot of the older power that was likely to be retired, so it was something of a surprise to find this. I never saw another NS painted GP 30, either SOU or NW. |

Description: |
A Southern peculiarity, a GP 35 on Alco trucks, is one of three Southern units on the power for the Strasburg Turn. The third unit in this set still carries its C of G number too. |
