Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5485, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during October of 1927 and retired in May of 1956 after 29 years of faithful service. Caption On Reverse: "'Pennsylvanian,' #79. 15 cars at 85 m.p.h. K-4s replacing disabled diesel and making up part of two hours lost." The exact date and the location are not recorded. |
