A Penn Central locomotive made an unusual appearance in New Orleans as U25B 2637 accompanied six Southern Pacific geeps on an SP transfer run to the Louisville & Hashville. The PC unit was originally Pennsylvania 2537 and was with SP GP9's 3774, 3736, 3329, 3751, 3375 and SSW GP20R 4145. The train was on the Southern Railway’s New Orleans Terminal Co. subsidiary at the North Broad Street underpass. |
