This 1917 Alco articulated locomotive was originally built for the Hocking Valley RR, a subsidiary of the C&O, but eventually became part of the C&O fleet when Hocking Valley was finally merged into the C&O in 1930. Specifics - class H-3, 56.25" drivers, impressive 220 psi boiler pressure, 22x32" high pressure cylinders, two sets of 35x32" low pressure cylinders, 367,000 lb engine weight, 73,814 lb tractive effort.
