Title:  ATSF 2-6-2 #1028 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Description:  Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) in 1901, this Prairie style locomotive started out as a 4-cyl. Vauclain compound that was later simpled between 1912-18. All werer gone by 1956 except two that were preserved - 1015 & 1024. Original specs - class 1014, 79" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 17x28" high pressure cylinders, 28x28" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 209,220 lb, modest tractive effort of 25,446 lb. No date, location or photographer listed for the photo.
