Album Info:Here are ten original black & white photos of Pennsylvania Railroad steam and diesel-electric locomotives. All of them were purchased via two eBay auctions conducted by Mr. Jim Allen in November of 2024 ~ the first on the 4th, the second on the 29th. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), the exact date, and the location are provided when available.

Description:  Allen. Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Logansport, Indiana, on 14 July 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1743, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during December of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in June of 1923, and retired in November of 1957 after 47 years of faithful service.

The road number of the N-5C cabin car pictured here is not recorded.
