| 1994 AEG built this first unit, called 12X, of a new electrical engine generation. Numbered 128 001-5, it went through mergers and take over with Adtranz and now to Bombardier Transportation. The engine has a remarkable speed of 220 km/h and developed 6.400 kW. It runs under 15 kV 16,7 Hz AC systems only. Many technical innovation went into the Bombardier 145 type and later further on the proven TRAXX-family. It was stored at Bombardier Switzerland, where the picture was taken. Latest news: At July 8th 2010 the 128 001 was transfered to Berlin-Hennigsdorf back to the factory, where she was built. |
