Washington-Western 475
Here was Washington-Western Alco S2 475 with 11 ICG hopper cars. The photo was taken on a Saturday, so nothing was running. The locomotive was Alco 75658, built in March 1948 as Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Railroad of New Orleans number 11. It was subsequently renumbered 1057 and was sold to the Washington-Western (Standard Gravel Co.) in February 1967. After operating as WW 1057 it was renumbered 475, and somewhere along the line its cab was modified or replaced. The ICG abandoned the branch line which served Clifton in 1980, and locomotive was sold to Relco at Joliet, Illinois the next year.
