| Ribbon. Here is the fourth of six successive original photos that I took at the Passenger Station in Larchmont, New York, on 29 August 1984. Shown here are some of the men and machines that are engaged in installing "ribbon rail" on this stretch of track. Larchmont is twenty railroad miles from New York's Pennsylvania Station, but only 18.5 miles from Metro-North's Grand Central Terminal. |
