Heritage Built by General Electric in 1977, Arrow III No.1319 is a self propelled electric multiple unit railcar . During the late 1970's NJ Dept.of Transportation was preaprin to rehabilitate the Lackawanna's legacy overhead cateanry system to provide an improved service on its subsidized routes. NJDOT's plan was to retire the former 3,000 volt DC system in favor of a standardized 25,000 volt alternating current pwoer supply. Aroow II and III cars similar to No 1319 were needed to repalce thwe former Lackawanna MU cars like MU 2454. NJ Transit in the early part of September 2024, applied this herald to No.1319 to recognize the "last run" of Lackawanna multiple unit cars in 1984.
