PRR 9735, BF-16, c. 1962         
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (F to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9735 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. #9735 is a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Note the two unfinished trolley tracks in the foreground. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. ("LouisFols"; #9 of 31)

arnold morscher General Location is Cleveland, Ohio. This was taken on Cleveland's west side on the New York Central's lakefront line between Lakewood Heights Blvd and West 117 street. The train is westbound on the NYC. The two under construction tracks under the not yet fully installed catenery will be the Cleveland Transit System's "Rapid Transit". 3/20/2025 6:06:09 PM
