Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the 46th Street Enginehouse in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during September of 1961. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5822 and another "Centipede" whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as BP-60's for passenger service and rated at 3,000 horsepower each; both were later regeared for freight service and reclassified as BH-50's rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #5822 was built in February of 1948 and retired in April of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service. Prominent here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9454 and #9526. #9454 is an FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse in September of 1950, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in April of 1965. #9526 is an EF-15 built by GM-EMD in July of 1948, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in September of 1965.
