It is interesting how the Black Hills Central terminates abruptly by the Keystone depot. Was it always this way, or did the line go further east before it became a tourist pike?

Tomy Boy General The line went into the town of Keystone (about 1 mile) and no farther. In 1972 a flood wiped out the tracks in town, ending service by the BN. The tracks were cut back to this location. The Rapid City, Black Hills and Western line ran from Mystic to Rapid City was further to the north, abandoned in 1948. 8/16/2014 6:29:19 PM
