| OPEN ACCESS SUCCES STORY: As Hector Rail became more successful they were looking for a high speed. high power units and found it at a good price at leasing company MRCE. 2010 Hector Rail put five Siemens ES64U2, HR class 242, into passenger operation (a new market for HR) and high quality cargo trains. In the meantime Hector Rail see more potential in the passenger market and bought 2013 another two ES64U2 and 42 second hand intercity passenger coaches from the Netherland, which it will refurbish for hight standard, 200 kph / 125 mph services. Hector Rail doesn't operate their own passenger division, this will be the business of companies which are already in the travel market. Hector Rail will provide a wet lease of locomotives and traction organisation only. |
