After its sister signal on Banks Rd. (the newer crossing can be seen in the far left) was unfortunately taken out by a drunk driver, this wig wag became unique in the fact that it used to not only serve the old SP line seen in action here, but also a parallel SP&S line (why it's on the left side of the road) which used to cross at about where I'm standing in this picture. The SP&S line was recently converted into a trail, this crossing was merged with the Banks Rd. crossing, and this wig wag was preserved in the parking lot of the new trail. This one also suffered damage from trucks and required some salvaged parts from its sister signal to keep it running. |
