| We're a good ways away from the Thurmond depot. The "New River Train" waits in front of the depot. You can see part of the eave or overhang of the general store in Thurmond. The folks there were as friendly as could be and they made the trip a very pleasant experience, even 15 years later! I'm just glad a hotshot freight wasn't coming along that first track-that sidewalk was about as much as we got! As for scenery, it doesn't get much better than this. |
