Train 776
On the back of the photo: - Train 78 Engine 200 at Winslow’s Mills, Summer 1910 (then) More likely 776 Sunday. - L.W. Moody Collection. Parts of the Moody collection came up for auction a few years ago. Lots of interesting material on Maine Railroading. Winslow’s Mill is located on the Rockland Branch just west of Waldoboro near the State Rt 32 Xing according to my map. Today this trackage is owned by the State of Maine and in the 2010 to 2015 time frame was operated by the Maine Eastern (aka Morristown & Erie). The Central Maine & Quebec is set to take over operation of the branch in early 2016. MEC #200, origionally from #156 in 1900 came from Schnacatady builder number 4227 built in November 1894 and wrecked in November of 1920. An MEC Class L 4-4-0, cyl 19x24 with 69inch drivers. /DL
