First SOO power  Contributor's Pick!
Since the first grain train ran to the Port of Albany, we had been waiting for this day. The grain trains originated in Minneapolis, so we knew it was a matter of time before power from CP owned SOO Line came east. It finally happened on a Thursday night, the train going to Albany after darkness had fallen. The return trip, however was a home run. We could not have asked for a better situation. Clear sky, and the train called for 1330, setting up a westbound chase in perfect light. We followed him to Hornell. It was great. ABBU sits at the south end of Bevier St with two SOO units trailing CP 5674.
