PRR 7098, EFS-17M, 1963
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 09 June 1963. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #7098 and #7248. Both are EFS-17M's built by EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each; #7098 was built in 1956, but #7248 was built in 1959. They are pulling an 111-car eastbound coal train along with N-8 caboose #478178.
