Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 12 July 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2414, 2526, a unit whose number was not recorded, and engine #2267. #2414 is an AF-24 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1962 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. #2526 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2267 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling a 42-car eastbound TrucTrain along with caboose #477472. |
