Shown here is former Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7048, an EFS-17M built by GM-EMD in December of 1955 and rated a 1,750 horsepower. In this photo taken on 5 September 1985, it is waiting to be pushed up the mountain to the Horseshoe Curve to replace K-4S "Pacific" #1361 and, thereby, become the new commemorative locomotive.
