| This was the front portion of a westbound Southern Pacific transfer run in New Orleans, on its way from the CSX’s GENTILLY YARD to the SP’s AVONDALE YARD. The front of the train consisted of stack cars which had been loaded with Sea-Land containers, while the rear of the train was made up of mixed freight. It was powered by GP35 6646, GP9R 3301, B30-7 7859 and GP38-2s 4830 and 4802, with SP caboose 1971 and Seaboard System 16427. |
